PURPOSE: A battery protection circuit and a controlling method of the same are provided to block a current flowing in a second current path by opening the second current path when a battery cell has a problem. CONSTITUTION: In a battery protection circuit and a controlling method of the same, a first current path(130) is connected between a first node, a second node which is connected to an external device. The first current path is connected in parallel between the first node and the second node. A second current path(140) has resistance smaller than that of the first current path. A control IC(150) controls the current of the second current path(140). A first current interception unit(141) controls the interception of a current according to the current in the second current path. A short circuit controller(160) controls the short circuit between the second node and a third node. |
