<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater that improves usability so that high-temperature water is not supplied even if a hot water supply faucet is opened again immediately after a set amount of hot water is supplied, and prevents a large volume of high-temperature water from being supplied to a hot water supply destination. <P>SOLUTION: A heat pump unit 3 heats water introduced from a water supply source to turn it into hot water. A hot water storage tank 2 stores the hot water. A water supply pipe 5 supplies water from the water supply source to the bottom part of the hot-water storage tank. A water supply stop valve 6 is disposed in the water supply pipe to interrupt the supply of water in such a manner that it can be opened and closed freely. A tapping pipe 7 makes the upper part of the hot water storage tank communicate with hot water supply faucets 8 and 9 to guide high-temperature water. A mixing valve 10 is disposed in the tapping pipe and connected with a water supply bypass pipe 13 branched from the water supply pipe to mix high-temperature water and water. A control section 15 performs control so that hot water supply is started by controlling a mixing valve to be a set temperature, the opening degree of the water supply stop valve is throttled stepwise at a plurality of stages and retained for a predetermined time at each opening degree when a predetermined amount of hot water supply is achieved, and thereafter the water supply stop valve is fully closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
