RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR PNEUMATIC WINTER TIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a pneumatic winter tire of which a tire maintaining wear resistance and excellent in on-ice frictional power can be fabricated; and to provide a pneumatic winter tire using the same.

SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a pneumatic winter tire includes a dienic rubber having an average glass transition temperature of ≤-50°C, a silica, and a polysulfide polymer having a mercapto group on either terminal, wherein the content of the silica is 5 to 80 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the dienic rubber; the content of the polysulfide polymer is 2 to 50 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the dienic rubber; and the mass ratio of the silica and the polysufide polymer (silica/polysufide polymer) is 0.5 to 7.
