<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform calculation to detect a pantagraph on the roof of a passing train at a high speed while keeping accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In a pantagraph detection method for arranging a pantagraph detection sensor 40 and a monitoring camera 30 in the upper part of a track 2 where a train 1 passes, photographing the pantagraph 1a by the monitoring camera 30 when the pantagraph detection sensor 40 detects the pantagraph 1a, performing image processing for input images which are photographed by the monitoring camera 30, and then, keeping only images showing the pantagraph 1a, an image processor 50 performs orientation code matching with respect to the input images, so as to obtain robustness in brightness change due to sunshine change, etc., and also to stably determine presence determination of the pantagraph in the images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
