<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite fluoride lithium battery that has superior large-current discharge characteristics during an initial discharge period under low-temperature environment and after high-temperature storage. <P>SOLUTION: The graphite fluoride lithium battery 10 includes a positive electrode 11 containing a positive-electrode active material, a negative electrode 12 formed on a surface opposed to the positive electrode 11 and including a carbon layer 14, a separator 15 for isolating the positive electrode 11 and the negative electrode 12 from each other, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive-electrode active material contains a first graphite fluoride represented by a formula (CF<SB POS="POST">x</SB>)<SB POS="POST">n</SB>(where 0.95≤x≤1.15, and n is an integer equal to or larger than 1), and a second graphite fluoride represented by a formula (CF<SB POS="POST">y</SB>)<SB POS="POST">m</SB>(where 0.25≤y≤0.9, and m is an integer equal to or larger than 1). A nonaqueous solvent of the nonaqueous electrolyte contains 15-60 vol.% propylene carbonate in the total volume of the nonaqueous solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
