<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-responsive image forming apparatus including a long-life positively electrified single layer type photoreceptor and an electrifying roller, which includes a positively electrified single layer type electrophotographic photoreceptor and a contact electrifying system electrifier. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the positively electrified single layer type electrophotographic photoreceptor; the electrifier having a contact electrifying member for electrifying the surface of the photoreceptor; an exposure device for exposing the surface of the electrified image carrier to form an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image carrier; a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image as a toner image; and a transfer device for transferring the toner image from the image carrier to a transferred material. The positively electrified single layer type electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate and a photoreceptive layer and in the photoreceptive layer, a charge-generating agent, a charge-transporting agent, and a binding resin are contained in the same layer. The distortion at a yield point of the binding resin is 9 to 29%, and the contact electrifying member is the electrifying roller having a conductive layer whose thickness is 1 to 3 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
