<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement on the process of calculating and adjusting an optimal adjustment start point in an adjustment mechanism of a draft device. <P>SOLUTION: A control device of a drawing frame has a preliminary controlling device for changing a draft of a sliver. For a drafted sliver a plurality of measured values representing the quality such as CV values can be recorded. These measured values can be further used for obtaining a function having a minimum value, which evaluates an optimal adjustment start point for controlling the drawing frame. In order to improve the calculation and the adjustment of the optimal adjustment start point, one quality characteristic factor can integrate the measured values representing the quality of a sliver, which correspond to each other for each adjustment start point. Based on a plurality of quality characteristic factors, a function in which the minimum value represents the optimal adjustment start point can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
