ARMATURE FOR ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE AND SEGMENT CONDUCTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manufacturing process and to ensure insulation performance by using the minimum necessary amount of insulation coating materials.

SOLUTION: An armature for a rotary electric machine includes: a linear conductor side part 5 that has each of a plurality of segment conductors 4 of a coil 3 disposed in slots 22 of the conductor side part; a parallel projection 6 that extends in parallel in an extension direction of the conductor side part 5; a skew projection 7 that extends slantingly in a circumferential direction relative to the extension direction of the conductor side part 5 from the conductor side part 5 to a parallel projection 6 of another segment conductor 4 to be joined so as to gradually depart from an armature core 2 in an axial direction L. The skew projection 7 has a skew junction 72 and a skew main body 71; the parallel projection 6 has a parallel junction 62 and a parallel main body 61; and an insulating coating material 9 that is not disposed on surfaces of the conductor side part 5 and the parallel main body 61 is disposed on a surface of the skew main body 71.
