<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive that allows an object lens to be appropriately cleaned by suppressing the possibility of collision between a lens and a disk surface while keeping a desired cleaning effect without increasing the cost. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk recording and reproducing drive for recording and reproducing on an optical disk comprises an optical pickup including an object lens and a driver part for driving the object lens. The dust on the object lens of the optical pickup is removed in a manner that the object lens is brought closer to the optical disk as compared to the position at the time of the recording and reproducing by performing driving for a certain period of time at a certain drive power by the driver part so as not to have contact with the optical disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
