<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately convert a shake operation given to a device main body of a portable information terminal device into various operation information for the terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 20 includes: a display control part 21; a direction detection part 22; a first determination part 23; a second determination part 24; and a threshold setting part 25. The first determination part 23 determines whether or not a shake operation of which direction of maximum acceleration corresponds to a moving direction of a cursor pointer is given to a device main body of a cellular phone 1. Furthermore, the second determination part 24 determines which shake operation of a single movement operation or a multiple movement operation is given to the device main body based on one unit of continuity of the shake operation. The display control part 21 performs a unit movement or continuous movement of a cursor pointer on a screen of a display panel according to a determination result of the second determination part 24.
