<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that is excellent in all of flame resistance, abrasion resistance, frictional property and cold resistance. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 10 includes a coating resin 6 that is made using resin compositions which contain: (a) a base resin obtained by adding at least one selected from an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and an ethylene ethyl acrylate copolymer, to high-density polyethylene; (b) 25 to 90 parts by mass of phosphate to 100 parts by mass of the base resin; and (c) 0.75 to 15 parts by mass of silicone-dispersed polyethylene or silicone graft polyethylene to 100 parts by mass of the base resin. A mass ratio between the high-density polyethylene and the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer is 30:70 to 90:10. The optical fiber cable 10 includes a cable body 2 in which the optical fiber 4 and a tensile-strength body 5 are collectively coated by the coating resin 6. The optical fiber 4 is embedded in the cable body 2. The coating resin 6 can expose the optical fiber 4 when being divided at a notch 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
