EPOXY-MODIFIED POLYPHENYLENE ETHER, INSULATED WIRE USING THE SAME, ELECTRIC MACHINE COIL AND MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated wire that has a high corona discharge starting voltage and satisfies demand characteristics such as heat resistance, mechanical strength, etc., and a resin material used therefor.

SOLUTION: The epoxy-modified polyphenylene ether is obtained by reacting a polyphenylene ether with an epoxy compound. The epoxy-modified polyphenylene ether vanish comprises the epoxy-modified polyphenylene ether and a block isocyanate. The electric insulated wire is an electric insulated wire having a conductor and an insulating layer of monolayer or multilayer coating the conductor in which at least one layer of the insulating layer is a resin layer formed by coating it with the epoxy-modified polyphenylene ether varnish or a mixed resin varnish of the epoxy-modified polyphenylene ether and a polyamide-imide or a polyester imide.
