<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of obtaining a sufficient lighting intensity and moreover realizing uniformity of illuminance distribution. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system is provided with: an LED light source 15 on the surface of which a plurality of LED chips are arrayed; one or a plurality of incident side lenses 21A, 21B connected in series, which have concave-shaped light-incident surfaces 21a-1, 21b-1 on a side facing the LED light source as well as convex-shaped light-emitting surfaces 21a-2, 21b-2 on a side opposite to the LED light source; and a condensing lens 22 placed on an opposite side to the LED light source against the incident side lens.
