<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress developer removed from the surface of an image carrier and stored in a housing from dropping out of the housing, while suppressing an increase of a manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning device includes: a cleaning member 70 for removing developer remaining on the surface of an image carrier 26, without being transferred to a body to be transferred P from the surface of the rotating image carrier 26 for cleaning the image carrier 26; a housing 21 for storing the developer removed by the cleaning member 70; a conveying member 76 provided in the housing 21 and for conveying the developer to one end side of the image carrier 26 in a rotational axis direction thereof; a first seal member 82 for filling a gap between the image carrier 26 and the housing 21 upstream in the conveying direction of the developer; and a second seal member 84 configured to be more precisely than the first seal member 82 and filling a gap between the image carrier 26 and the housing 21 downstream in the conveying direction of the developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
