CATHODE ACTIVE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode active material which employs a lithium transition metal phosphate compound typified by LiMnPO4and is capable of providing a lithium-secondary battery excellent in charge/discharge cycle performance.

SOLUTION: The lithium transition metal phosphate compound is used, where the crystal lattice is mechanically distorted by mechanical milling and an average of D values obtained by applying the Scherrer equation to top 10 peaks of diffraction intensity among X-ray diffraction peaks is within a range of 250-350 Å.
