<p>The invention relates to a device for determining the wear resistance of materials, in general, and of nitrocarburated layers, in particular. According to the invention, the device comprises an upper part (3) fixed within a rotating shaft of a drilling machine, by means of a Morse cone, comprising a circular test piece (16) and a lower part fixed on a table of the drilling machine, consisting of a bushing (8) which comprises a measuring rule (9) and an indicator (10) fixed on a calibrated spring (14) to determine the pressing force, a ball (13) ensuring the horizontality of some friction surfaces, where, upon lowering the upper part (3), the test piece (16) comes into contact with a metal carbide plate (12) and the friction takes place by rotation of the upper part (3), in case of intense friction there being provided a water cooling system comprising a collecting vessel (6), a water hose (5) which injects water to the upper part (3) and a vessel (7) for recycling the cooling water.</p> |
