A container (1 ) for storing a medical or pharmaceutical liquid comprises a storage compartment (4) for storing the liquid (9) comprising, an inlet opening (5) for filling the storage compartment (4) and an outlet opening (6) for discharging liquid out of the storage compartment (4). A hydrophilic membrane layer (7; 8) is arranged within the storage compartment (4), which is gas-tight in a wet condition, and which at least covers the outlet opening (6) and contacts the liquid (9) stored within the storage compartment (4). A dosing assembly and a device for automated release of a medical or pharmaceutical liquid comprising or and/or capable of using at least one container (1 ) are disclosed.
