The device has a pressure roller (1) for pressing sown grains into soil. An injection device (3) for applying liquid active agent i.e. nematode, is arranged in aligned line behind the pressure roller. The injection device is replaceably arranged at the pressure roller and has a side surface adapted to curved shape of the pressure roller, where a recess (19) is provided in the side surface. The injection device has a leveling element (14) at its soil-proximate end for removing soil residues at a contact surface of the roller or for leveling the grains. An independent claim is also included for a method for sowing seeds.
