<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional panoramic image generation device in which when a panoramic image is generated from plural still images constituting a moving image, the generated panoramic image is extremely long horizontally or vertically. <P>SOLUTION: A panoramic image generation device generates a panoramic image 70 by combining plural still images constituting a moving image, determines the cutout size of a panoramic image for display from the generated panoramic image 70, and detects a photographing position of interest from the panoramic image 70.
