FIXING DEVICE CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING TEMPERATURE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a fixing device capable of preventing excessive temperature rise on a surface at the center of a fixing roller and accurately measuring temperature rise time of the fixing roller to detect a power supply voltage when a power supply voltage is changed; and an image forming apparatus comprising the fixing device.

SOLUTION: A control device of a fixing device includes: surface temperature determination means for determining a surface temperature of a fixing roller on the basis of information detected by temperature detection means; temperature rise time measurement means for measuring temperature rise time between predetermined two points of temperature control points set by the surface temperature determination means; and power supply voltage detection means for detecting a power supply voltage based on the measured temperature rise time. Further, the fixing device is characterized in that the temperature rise time measurement means performs the measurement with only a sub-heater driven during a standby of an image forming apparatus. There is also provided an image forming apparatus including the fixing device.
