摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cell separation, capable of efficiently and securely separating a specific cell from other cells; and a cell separation microchip. <P>SOLUTION: The cell separation microchip 101 includes a first distribution channel 102, a chamber 103, and a second distribution channel 104. A photoresponsive material is used for the inner surface of the chamber 103. The first distribution channel 102 is connected to an edge 103a on one side of the chamber 103 via a connection channel 107. The second distribution chamber 104 is connected to an edge 103b on the other side of the chamber 103 via a connection channel 108. By applying the light to one region only on the inner surface of the chamber 103, the cell adhesion property of the photoresponsive material in the one region is changed, and by making a separation liquid flow from the connection channel 107 to the connection channel 108, cells are discharged from the chamber 103, so that the cells in the region are segregated from cells out of the region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
