<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which achieves both excellent FPOT (First Page Out Time) and life elongation of an image heating device by maintaining the excellent FPOT and also suppressing unnecessary standby time of the image heating device. <P>SOLUTION: Detection means is for detecting a state of on-demand image heating means or a surrounding state of the image heating means, and according to the state of the heating means detected by the detection means, relative drive start timing is changed between driving means for image formation means and driving means and energization means of the image heating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
