<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage detection device and a leakage detection method for more precisely detecting gas leakage of a pressure adjuster itself or on an upstream side of the pressure adjuster. <P>SOLUTION: A leakage detection device 60 detects leakage of LP gas in an LP gas supply system 1 for supplying a consumer side with LP gas from LP gas containers 2 to 5. The leakage detection device 60 includes: a microphone 61 attached inside an automatic switch adjuster 50; a gas sensor 62 provided as a set with the microphone 61; a control unit 63 for determining leakage of the LP gas on the basis of signals from the microphone and the sensor; a voice output part 64 for issuing an alarm when the LP gas leakage is determined by the control unit 63; and a display part 65. When it determines that leakage is likely to have happened on the basis of a signal obtained from the microphone 61 and that there is a possibility of leakage, the control unit 63 determines leakage of LP gas on the basis of the signal from the gas sensor 62. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
