MULTIMEDIA DEVICE FOR PROCESSING DATA BY USING IMAGE SENSOR AND THE METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A multimedia device using an image sensor and a controlling method thereof are provided to define a protocol which minimizes power consumption by controlling a touch sensor in a specific environment. CONSTITUTION: An image sensor(1510) senses a user who is using a multimedia device. An extracting unit(1506) extracts depth data about the user. A calculating unit(1505) calculates distance between the user and the multimedia device according to the depth data. A displaying unit(1507) displays an original broadcast screen. The displaying unit performs image processing of a touched icon. A touch sensor(1508) selects the displayed icon.
