PURPOSE: A battery module and a battery pack are provided to improve dimensional stability by offsetting cumulative tolerance between an electrode tap by reduction of dimension or charging/discharging and a cell. CONSTITUTION: A battery module(300) comprises a cell module which is formed by laminating more than two cell modules having a structure in which battery cells are mounted on cartridges, a lower plate which supports the bottom end of the cell module laminate, and a top plate which fixes the uppermost cartridge of the cell module laminate located on the bottom plate. Through-holes are respectively formed in the cartridges, the top cover and the bottom cover. Fixing elements having hollow structures which determine the height are inserted into the through-holes. Coupling members are inserted into the fixing members and couple the cartridge, the top plate and the bottom plate reciprocally.
