PURPOSE: A battery module and a battery pack including the same are provided to maintain dimensional stability of the battery module by preventing a barreling phenomenon which is caused during use of bolts. CONSTITUTION: A battery module(200) including a plurality of battery cells comprises a unit cell assembly(220) which laminates unit cells having a structure in which battery cells are mounted on cartridge to the top and, a bottom cover(230) which supports the bottom end of the unit cell assembly, and a top cover(240) which fixes the uppermost cartridge of the unit cell assembly located on surface the bottom cover. Through-holes(243,233) are respectively formed in the cartridge, the top cover and the bottom cover. Fixing elements(250) in which screw threads(251) are formed are inserted into the through holes and interconnect the cartridge, the top cover and the bottom cover.
