The clamp has outer and inner rails (1, 2) for respectively gripping sides of a hinge. A body (3) supports the inner rail, and a lever (4) actuates an eccentric cam (8) to allow gripping of one of the rails on the other rail. Rods formed of sliders (6) and a central flat bar are fixed on the inner rail. The sliders and the central flat bar allow guiding of the inner rail in translation with respect to the body. A translation stop part e.g. elastic ring (9), is provided on one of the sliders. An independent claim is also included for a method for lubricating a door.
