METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH CARBON WIRE ROD HAVING REDUCED MICHANICAL PROPERTY

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing high carbon wire rod with reduced property deviation is provided to obtain the quality of wire rod materials by uniformly cooling the wire rods, and to improve a wire drawing machineability by reducing property deviation. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing high carbon wire rod with reduced property deviation of materials is as follows. Steel materials are heated. The heated steel materials are rolled to manufacture wire rods. The manufactured wire rods are wound to manufacture wire rod coils(2). The wound wire rod coils are transferred in a state where the initial speed of a conveyor is 0.70-0.80m/s. The transferring speed for each zone is increased to 0.02-0.08m/s for transferring. The wire rod coils transferred at the increased speed is cooled while a blowing device is rotated at 1550-1650RPM.
