PURPOSE: An alarm system and methods for emergency traffic information using social networks is provided to easily determine emergency traffic situations on roads, subways or trains and the like by immediately transmitting emergency traffic information to many users through social networks. CONSTITUTION: Text information is typed into a portable terminal(100) of an information provider. An SNS server(200) analyzes the text information transmitted through the portable terminal of the information provider. The SNS server includes a user reliability management part(202) to store and manage user information. A portable terminal(300) of an information user receives emergency traffic information from the SNS server. The portable terminal of the information user includes an application unit(306) and data communication unit(304).
