<p>The method for cleaning reabsorbable polyester for producing pharmaceutical formulations or reabsorbable implants, comprises dissolving polymer in a first solvent (12) and then intimately contacting the polymer solution with a second solvent under the effect of high shear forces in a turbulent shear field, conveying the polymer suspension, which is resulted through the addition of the second solvent, in a rotating cylindrical filter body (71) of a drum sieve, and subsequently separating the moist polymer mass from the filter body and then dried with nitrogen or air in a dryer (90). The method for cleaning reabsorbable polyester for producing pharmaceutical formulations or reabsorbable implants, comprises dissolving polymer in a first solvent (12) and then intimately contacting the polymer solution with a second solvent under the effect of high shear forces in a turbulent shear field, conveying the polymer suspension, which is resulted through the addition of the second solvent, in a rotating cylindrical filter body (71) of a drum sieve, and subsequently separating the moist polymer mass from the filter body and then dried with nitrogen or air in a dryer (90). The first solvent represents a real solvent, and the second solvent represents a non-solvent and is unlimitedly mixable with the first solvent. The dissolved polyester in the first solvent is filtered and then mixed over a binary fuel nozzle (40) with the second solvent. The separation of the moist polymer mass is carried out by force of gravity and by spirally fitted conveyor rails and/or guide vanes (72) in the interior of the filter body.
