PURPOSE: A coating apparatus is provided to constantly maintain the thickness of coating by preventing the exothermic phenomenon of rolls and maintaining the surface of each roll at a constant temperature. CONSTITUTION: A coating apparatus includes a drip pan(110), a pickup roll(120), an applicator roll(130), a doctor roll(140), a back-up roll(150), and a cooling unit(160). Coating liquid is stored in the drip pan. The pickup roll rotates to one direction at the upper side of the drip pan such that the external surface of the pick-up roll is in contact with the coating liquid. The applicator roll and the doctor roll rotate based on the pick-up roll. The coating liquid transferred by the applicator roll is transferred to a steel sheet(170) by installing the back-up roll. The cooling unit is in connection with the inner part of the pick-up roll through a cooling line. The cooling unit cools the pick-up roll. |
