CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for continuously casting molds are provided to prevent the molds from becoming damaged caused by the direct heating. CONSTITUTION: A method for continuously casting molds comprises following steps. The draw of strips(40) out of molds(20) in the end of the continuous casting is temporally stopped. The sides of tail parts of the strips are indirectly heated. If the tail parts of the strips are completely drawn from the molds, the indirect heating is processed. The indirect heating is continuously performed until the unconsolidated metals are totally consolidated. The indirect heating is induction-heated by an induction heating coil.
