PURPOSE: A cathode material for molten carbonate fuel cell is provided to improve the life time of a battery, and to have excellent solubility property to carbonate. CONSTITUTION: A cathode material for molten carbonate fuel cell comprises nickel, cobalt, and niobium. A manufacturing method of the cathode material comprises: a step of manufacturing a mixed solution containing cobalt-containing solution, and niobium-containing solution; a step of manufacturing gel by adding nickel powder into the mixed solution; and a step of plasticizing the gel. A manufacturing method of a cathode comprises: a step of manufacturing the cathode material; a step of manufacturing a sheet by ball-milling a mixture comprising the cathode material, and solvent; and a step of sintering the sheet.
