PURPOSE: Polymer latex is provided to provide coating material for metal surface by simple process not using organic solvent or surfactant. CONSTITUTION: Polymer latex comprises repeating units in chemical formula 1, chemical formula 2, chemical formula 3, and chemical formula 4. In chemical formula 1, R1 is a C3-20 alkyl group, and m is an integer from 1-4,000. In chemical formula 2, n is an integer from 1-4,000. In chemical formula 3, l is an integer from 1-4,000. In chemical formula 4, R2 and R3 are same or different each other, is respectively a C1-3 alkyl group, or phenyl group, and k is an integer form 1-4,000. The metal-surface coating composition comprises the polymer latex, a crosslinking agent, and water.
