<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that implements smooth and satisfactory terminal guidance and short circuit cancellation without requiring an increased size. <P>SOLUTION: A front mask 83 is loaded by elastic segments 91 toward short circuit terminals 51 in a mask mounting hole 81. A male housing 19 includes a lifting projection 77 having a tapered face 79 capable of abutting the front mask 83 at a tip portion. The lifting projection 77 projects forward beyond short circuit cancellation plates 73, and upon connector mating, the tapered face 79 comes in contact with the front mask 83 receiving tabs 29 inserted in tab acceptance holes 55 to displace the front mask 83 opposite to the short circuit terminals 51 into a position out of the way of the short circuit cancellation plates 73 against the loading force of the elastic segments 91. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
