PURPOSE: A magnesium based alloy and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize the loss of magnesium because magnesium based master alloys are primarily manufactured at low temperatures and magnesium based alloys are secondarily manufactured. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for magnesium based alloys is as follows. At least one of magnesium or magnesium-based alloy is melted. The powder or pulverized material of nickel, zinc, titanium, silicon, or boron is inserted and melted in the melted magnesium or magnesium-based alloy. At least one of the melted magnesium or magnesium-based alloy and the alloy of the powder or pulverized material of the nickel, zinc, titanium, silicon, or boron are cooled to manufacture magnesium based master alloys. The nickel, zinc, titanium, silicon, or boron is melted. The magnesium based master alloys are inserted in the melted nickel, zinc, titanium, silicon, or boron so that the magnesium based alloys can be manufactured. |
