3D AVATAR CREATING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A three-dimensional avatar generating method and a system thereof are provided to recognize a face of a user from a real image on a portable terminal and to control a color of a face by modeled face image. CONSTITUTION: A face is recognized from a two-dimensional image of a user(S312). The system models a shape of the face by application of an AAM(Active Appearance Model)(S314). The system synthesizes a texture by application of the AAM(S318). The system synthesizes a three-dimensional avatar image by synthesis of the texture(S320). The system synthesizes a three-dimensional avatar image by modification of the synthesized three-dimensional avatar image(S322).
