PURPOSE: A method and a system for correcting an ignition timing of vehicles are provided to prevent the engine stalling while the reduction rate of engine RPM is corrected by correcting a control value of pre-set ignition timing. CONSTITUTION: A system for correcting an ignition timing of vehicles comprises an engine RPM receiving unit, a unit for calculating the reduction rate of engine RPM, and a unit for correcting ignition timing. The engine RPM receiving unit is installed inside an ECU(Engine Control Unit), and receives the engine RPM from an engine(101). The unit for calculating the reduction rate of the engine RPM is operated at a predetermined cycle(103). The unit for correcting the ignition timing determines a fuel cut-off section based on the engine RPM. The unit for correcting the ignition timing corrects the ignition timing if the reduction rate of the engine RPM exceeds a pre-set reference value. |
