The present invention refers to a boron cemented multicomponent thermochemical process for increasing the useful life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, where the boron layer reaches a hardness of from about 2000 Hv and the cemented layer a hardness of from about 600 Hv. The boron cemented multicomponent treatment comprises 2 phases: carbon monoxide is used in the cementing step as a carburant, and barium carbonate at 10%-30% as a catalyst. Some of the benefits obtained by implementing the boron cemented multicomponent thermochemical process are: corrosion resistance, a higher fatigue strength, wear resistance, impact resistance, low production and process cost with 0% of post-production wastes.
