FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: it involves cytological analysis of biopsy materials prepared by fibroesophagogastroduodenoscopy, recording of epithelial cell count and neutrophilic leukocyte count per 100 cells, calculation of a neutrophil-epithelial index (NEI). The NEI is estimated on 14th, 21st and 28th day. If the NEI=0.72-0.99 by the 14th day, a surface gastroduodenitis is stated. The NEI=1.0-1.47 by the 21th day shows erosions and ulcers of gastric and duodenal mucosas. In case of the NEI=0.20-0.39 by the 28th day, the partial or complete regression of inflammatory changes of gastric and duodenal mucosas. ^ EFFECT: technique enables diagnosing erosions and ulcers and estimating the dynamics. ^ 1 ex |
