FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: sample collecting probe is placed in a pipeline and its input is directed upstream. The probe is then connected to a tube with a tap for manual sampling or an automatic sampling device and the sample is collected in a sample receiver. Part of the liquid stream from the pipeline which is collected through the probe is directed through a tube fitted a liquid flow regulator which acts as a check valve. If the tube has parallel connection with the pipeline, the regulator is fitted on a section of the pipe in the direction of flow after the point for collecting samples from the tube in the sample receiver.
