The turbocompressor (1) has a turbine (5) provided with a turbine wheel (6), and a compressor (2) provided with a compressor wheel (3). The turbine wheel and the compressor wheel are coupled together by a common rotation shaft (8). A gas circulation circuit is provided between the turbine and the compressor. The turbine wheel and the compressor wheel are arranged in a back-to-back configuration and separated by an interior wall (10) through which the shaft and passages (12, 12') form a portion of the circulation circuit. The wall is made of heat-resisting material i.e. ceramic.
