<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring apparatus and a testing method that can structurally simply and easily identify an anomalous part in a testing system in which a plurality of apparatuses intercommunicate. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring apparatus 101 is used in a testing system 501 in which a house side apparatus 202 and a station side apparatus 201 relay a plurality of testing frames and reporting frames transmitted from a testing apparatus 206 to the testing apparatus 206. The monitoring apparatus 101 includes: a receiving traffic counter 51 for counting testing frames received from the upstream apparatus by an object apparatus, which is the house side apparatus 202 or station side apparatus 201; and a reporting frame transmission section 59 for, when the object apparatus receives a reporting frame from the upstream apparatus, transmitting the reporting frame together with the count value of the receiving traffic counter 51 to the downstream apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
