<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an indication indicating a plurality of imaging areas having aspect ratios different from one another in an easy-to-understand manner. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises an imaging element 12, image creation means 13 and 14 respectively creating an image corresponding to a first imaging area of a first aspect ratio and an image corresponding to a second imaging area of a second aspect ratio smaller than the first aspect ratio based on signals from the imaging element 12, display means 17 having a display area of a third aspect ratio and display control means 20 causing the display means 17 to display a reproduction image based on the signals from the imaging element 12. The display control means 20 causes the display means 17 to display a first frame indicating the first imaging area and a second frame indicating the second imaging area together with information necessary for discrimination of respective frames so as to overlap the reproduction image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
