<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method capable of solving various kinds of problems in conventional asbestos treatment methods, specifically to provide an asbestos treatment method capable of safely removing asbestos and converting the asbestos into reusable resources. <P>SOLUTION: This asbestos treatment method includes: an alkali silicate addition step of spraying or applying alkali silicate aqueous solution to asbestos attached to a building or the like and cement being a binder of the asbestos; a peeling removal step of peeling and removing the asbestos and the cement after the alkali silicate addition step from the building or the like; a dissolution step of dissolving the peeled and removed asbestos and the cement in an acid solution; and a crystallization step of performing crystallization by neutralizing, with a neutralizing agent, the solution which is generated by the dissolution step and in which the asbestos and the cement are dissolved, thereby treating the asbestos. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
