<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image recording device for a liquid electrophotographic system, showing excellent fixability and transfer efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a latent image carrier carrying a latent image; a developing unit developing the latent image with a liquid developer containing toner particles and a carrier liquid; a conveying unit conveying a recording medium formed of a resin; a coating unit coating the recording medium conveyed by the conveying unit with an oil absorbing layer that absorbs the carrier liquid; a transfer unit transferring the image developed by the developing unit onto the recording medium coated with the oil absorbing layer by the coating unit; and a fixing unit fixing the image to the recording medium by heating the recording medium having the image transferred by the transfer unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
