<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing methyl acetylene and propadiene in good yield. <P>SOLUTION: In the presence of at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of a catalyst containing a group 4 metal compound, a catalyst containing a group 7 metal and/or a group 7 metal compound and a catalyst containing a group 13 metal compound, methyl acetylene and propadiene are produced from halogenated propane and/or halogenated propene by a dehydrohalogenation reaction.
