<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a head gap according to the thickness of a recording medium with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet printer includes: a head unit having a line head having a nozzle surface with a plurality of nozzles being aligned thereon, and a head holder holding the line head, a conveying member which is opposite to the nozzle surface and conveys a recording medium having the designated thickness; and two parallel head supporting members for supporting the head unit rockingly in the main scanning direction of the direction of alignment. The inkjet printer also includes a head gap adjusting mechanism for changing the head gap between the recording medium on the conveying member and the nozzle surface of the line head by rocking the head unit according to the designated thickness of the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
