PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that there is a need to obtain fresh water at lower cost than required by some methods that have already been put to practical use and are operated from among various methods for desalination of seawater.
SOLUTION: An object to perform separation of salt ions, Na+ and Cl-, of seawater at cost as lower as possible is achieved by minimizing each ion migration of Na+ and Cl-. Na+ and Cl- are caused to migrate in the magnetic field, so that they migrate in the directions opposite to each other because of their electric charges. A partition wall corresponding to slight migration is provided to accelerate ion separation. For migration of Na+ and Cl- in the magnetic field, the magnetic field is generated with an electromagnet, and then migration takes place with vibration. The energizing direction of the electromagnet is reversed synchronizing with the vibration, the field direction is reversed, and the migration directions of the ions are separated into the two directions.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
