<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of a coin detection part which detects a coin on a money dispensing tray. <P>SOLUTION: A coin processor comprises a tray, a coin detection part, and a restraint part. The money dispensing tray receives coins paid out from a payout port on its bottom surface. The detection part includes a light emitting device which is disposed outside the money dispensing tray and emits light into one of a pair of through holes provided in the money dispensing tray to form a light of an optical axis from the aforementioned through hole to the other through hole, and a light receiving device which is disposed outside the money dispensing tray and receives the light passing through the latter through hole; and detects a coin on the bottom surface by using an output result of the light receiving device. The restraint part, of which height from the bottom surface is a prescribed height smaller than the thickness of the coin with the minimum thickness among the coins the money dispensing tray receives, restrains the light from entering the light receiving device by passing through the space of the prescribed height over the bottom surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
